The photo at the left shows actor Steven
Durflinger halfway through the make-up process. It
took an hour and a half for the application of his prosthetic
ears and nose followed by the purple skin coloring and eye
details that transformed him into Twinkleflash. |
Lateefah Smith who
portrayed Myrtle, also underwent rigorous make-up each day of
shooting with prosthetic appliances for her nose and chin.
Constant touch-ups were necessary because of the hot lights and
temperatures (it was shot during Summer). For her the most trying aspect
was her costume which was layers of clothes and a petticoat underneath
her skirt. Between shots you would often find Lateefah sitting in front
of a fan cranked on high. "Moving
on..." Through a misty veil of smoke you travel
through the doorway to the Enchanted World. |
